Overpacks, also known as the two part pan and top, are designed to completely contain an object or provide an additional layer of protection. Standard overpacks include intermodal containers and 20 and 40 foot sealand containers. Custom options include overpacks for turbine rotors, fuel racks, feedwater heaters, and various over dimensional / unique sized objects.
This package is designed to meet DOT IP-1 (49 CFR 173.410 & 173.411) standards. We offer the two-part pan and top package design in standard sizes and have the ability to custom engineer and manufacture designs based upon customer specific needs.
